I love the beautiful Cascading Tri-fold Z Fold cards on Pinterest but most of them use 12″ x 12″ paper. I only have 8-1/2″ x 11″ cardstock so I figured out how to make it work and want to share my measurements with you.
Measurements
- Cut your colored cardstock 8-1/2″ x 5″. Then take the other piece and cut 5″ x 4″
- Cut DSP 3-7/8″ x 3-1/8″, 3-7/8″ x 4-1/8″, 3-7/8″ x 4-7/8
- White 3-7/8″ x 4-1/8
Instructions
- Score the 8-1/2″ at 4″ and 8″
- Glue the 4″ piece to the 1/2″ flap to create 12″ x 5″ piece
- mark one end at 2-3/4″ and cut from top corner to the 2-3/4″ mark
- Fold on the score marks to create a Cascading Z Fold
- Cut front DSP along diagonal 2-5/8″ and 3-3/8″
- Cut middle DSP along diagonal 4-1/8″ and 3-3/8″
- Cut back DSP along diagonal 4-1/8″ x 4-7/8″
- Glue the front and back DSP on the front and the middle DSP on the back
- Cut a white piece on the diagonal 3-3/8″ x 4-1/8″ and add to the middle section without DSP
- Stamp, color and punch out several flowers
- Add flowers along the edge being careful not to extend 5-1/2″ so it will fit in an envelope
- Add your sentiment
- Decorate with bling
