This week’s color challenge includes 2 colors from our new In Colors, Blueberry Bushel and Call Me Clover. The third color is from our Subtle collection, Calypso Coral. The colors in the Abstract Impressions DSP are Night of Navy and Shaded Spruce but they work with these colors.
I got my inspiration for this card from Jo Ann Hewins, a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator out of Conover, NC
Card Details
- Card base 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ scored at 4 1/4″
- Stamp large abstract rose in Blueberry Bushel all over card base
- Adhere Abstract Impressions DSP (2 x 5 1/2″)
- Stamp sentiment along white (3/4″ x 5 1/2″) strip in Blueberry Bushel
- Stick white strip at the bottom of the DSP
- Stamp large grass stems first with stamp off method to get the lighter shade and small grass stems in full ink in Call Me Clover
- The small flowers are done the same as the grass stems in Calypso Coral, the larger ones done with the stamp off method.
- Use Big Shot and cut out flowers with largest stitched square framelit
- Tie linen thread around flowers
- Attach square flowers to a pearl doily and trim excess off
- Use Stampin Dimensionals to adhere flowers and doily to card
