Good Morning! 2018 is in full swing. This past Friday I had my first card class of the new year and it was a huge success. I had 8 ladies come. We had so much fun making the 4 cards I had for them. I can’t wait to start planning my February class.
But before that I want to share with you a sketch challenge I entered.
Freshly Made Sketches #318
The ladies over at Freshly Made Sketches have extended this challenge which gives me a chance enter at the last minute. As of the writing of this post there are 144 entries. That is a lot of inspiration! Using sketches gets my creative mind focused. I just pull a stamp set and then see how I can use it in the sketch.
On this card I decided on the new Lovely Wishes stamp set.
The Lovely Wishes stamp set by Stampin’ Up! is available in our new Spring Occasions Catalog. It is not only bold and graphic, it is also very sweet. I paired it with a stamp set from our Annual Catalog Label Me Pretty.
Card Details
I first stamped the floral image in Black ink and then used Lemon Lime Twist with the leaf fill-in stamp and Peekaboo Peach with the flower fill-in stamps. After stamping the sentiment I used my big shot to cut it out using the Oval Laying Framelit and adhered it to a scalloped oval cut from our Bermuda Bay card stock.
I cut a strip from our new Picture Perfect Party Designer Series Paper. Glued a piece of Pool Party Shimmer ribbon on top and then tied a the new Silver Baker’s Twine to that.
Finally I used Stampin Dimentionals to pop the image up off the strip.
