In today’s card tutorial I’m going to show you how to make the fun fold card referred to as the double z fold. I’ll be using paper from the Gilded Autumn Suite and the stamp and die bundle Gather Together.

Scroll to the bottom for the video and supply list.

Measurements

  • Card base Cajun Craze 4-1/4″ x 11″ scored at 5-1/2″ and 8-1/4″
  • Inside Z Early Espresso 3-1/4″ x 10″ scored at 4-1/4″ and 7-1/4″
  • Designer Paper 3″ x 4″ and 3″ x 2-1/2″
  • Vanilla 3″ x 2-1/2″
  • Cajun Craze, Vanilla and Gold Scraps for leaves and sentiment

Instructions for front design

Refer to the photo above for clarity

  1. Stamp large maple leaf on Cajun Craze scrap with Early Espresso ink and cut out
  2. Cut out embossed leaves from gold card stock
  3. Stamp sentiment on vanilla scrap and cut out with stitched nested die
  4. Stamp the small pumpkins on vanilla scrap, color and cut out
  5. Glue the Cajun leaf to the 3″ x 4″ designer paper
  6. Glue one gold leaf on top of maple leaf
  7. Glue sentiment over the leaves
  8. Attach the third leaf with a Stampin’ Dimensional
  9. Add a bow

Assemble the Double Z fold

  • Glue the front design from above to the large section of the inside Z (Early Espresso)
  • Glue the 3″ x 2-1/2″ Designer paper to the middle part of the inside Z
  • Glue the pumpkins to the vanilla 3″ x 2-1/2″ and glue to the back section of the inside Z

Put the 2 Z’s together

  1. Glue the left part of the large section of the inside Z (Early Espresso) to the small section of the card base (Cajun Craze)
  2. Put glue on the small section of the inside Z and then close the card to stick it to the card base
