Are you feeling a little Grinchy? Let this card tutorial take some of that Holiday stress away by getting your creative brain going.
This is a simple and easy card to put together.
Measurements
- Stamps:
- 161977 Christmas Classics
- Paper
- 119685 Cherry Cobbler 4-1/4″ x 11″ base, and 4 x 5-1/4″ for insert
- 102584 Garden Green scrap
- 150880 Pretty Peacock scrap
- 159276 Basic White 3-3/4″ x 5″
- 162377 Walk in the Forest *DSP 4″ x 1-1/2″ and 4″ x 3-1/2″
Instructions
- Score the long card base at 1-3/4″ and 5-1/2″ creating a Z fold
- Punch all 4 corners of the base
- Punch 2 corners of small *DSP and glue to the top flap of card base
- Glue the larger piece of *DSP to the section under the flap of pocket card
- Tie a ribbon around the card pocket to keep it closed.
- Die cut a holly leaf and sprig from green scraps and attach under the bow with glue dots
- For Card Insert, Punch the top corners of the Cherry cardstock and *DSP then layer the two pieces
- Stamp Merry Christmas and some holly leaves if you wish.
- Tuck the insert inside the card pocket.

I love this pocket fold. I made one that I turned into a gift card holder. I added a bit of length to the bottom of the white piece, scored and folded the extra back up, creating a holder for the gift card. When the recipient pulls the card out, up pops the gift card with it! And, I added a ribbon to pull the card up.
