Halloween is one of my favorite times of year because it means costumes, candy, and decorating the yard with a new theme. This year my friend and I set sail on the spooky seas and transformed our yard into a pirate adventure! We dressed the part, handed out candy to about 100 neighborhood kids, and of course, I couldnât wait to document it all in my scrapbook. Thatâs where todayâs project comes inâan easy Pirate Halloween scrapbook layout with photos and embellishments you can recreate in your own albums.
The Layout Design
This layout is a two-page spread that holds five vertical photos, but itâs flexible enough to adjust for different sizes.
- Base Pages: I started with two 12″ x 12″ white sheets from the Spooky Sweet Designer Series Paper Packâthey have little orange flecks that tie into the Halloween vibe.
- Layering Strips: To give the look of a continuous background across both pages, I cut a 12″ x 10″ piece of patterned paper, trimmed it into 7″ x 12″ and 5″ x 12″ sections, and placed them side by side. Additional strips (3-1/2″ x 10″ on the left and 2-1/2″ x 10″ on the right) add even more visual interest.
This design is perfect for anyone looking for a simple yet creative Pirate Halloween scrapbook layout.

Embellishments & Title
Once the photos were in place, it was time to decorate!
- To balance the page, I added an black strip (1″ x 11-1/2″”) coming down from the top and a pink strip (1/2″ x 11-1/2′”) coming up from the bottom.
- For the title and accents, I used my Cricut to make a print-and-cut âHalloween on the High Seasâ title, along with a little âBewareâ circle and an âAhoyâ image.
- Candy corn, bats, and other spooky details came from the Spooky Sweet Designer Series Paper Packâperfect little punch-outs for fast embellishing
Adding embellishments is what takes this Pirate Halloween scrapbook layout from simple to spectacular!

The Finished Page
Hereâs the finished look: a playful, spooky, and fun Pirate Halloween scrapbook layout with photos and embellishments that captures the memory of a night full of costumes, candy, and community.
