Looking for a fun way to show off both sides of your designer paper? Try the Chevron decorative fold. In today’s tutorial I have three tips to help you make the perfect chevron fold card.
Chevron Fold Measurements
- Card base 4-1/4″ x 11″
- Card stock layer 5-3/8″ x 4-1/8″
- White layer to build chevron 5-1/4″ x 4″
- Five 1″ x 2-1/2″ contrasting designer paper strips
- Scraps for sentiment
Chevron Fold Instructions
- Score 3 designer strips so right corner folds down to the left on both ends
- Score 2 designer strips so left corner folds down to the right on both ends
- Arrange folded strips to form a chevron along the edge of the white layer * hint – lightly tack them down before you completely stick down
- Tape the white card layer to the colored card stock layer
- Attach ribbon along the edge of the chevron
- Stick the chevron layer to the card base dimensionals
- Add sentiment and bling
3 Tips
- Use front and back contrasting designer paper
- Score the strips before you fold
- Lightly tack the pieces down and arrange before you permanently stick down

First time I’ve seen your video and website. The embossed folder on purple was stunning. I just went to your site and found this chevron card which I’m going to try to make I was a demonstrator for many years about 25 years ago. I quit because I moved out of state but now have once more signed up as a demonstrator. Thanks for your great enthusiasm and beautiful cards and smiles and excitement. I have moved back to Maryland and am once again in love with card making
