Watch how simple it is to create this beautiful sunset with nothing more than a pad of ink and a sponge dauber!
In this tutorial, I explain my creative process in creating this Thank You card card from a simple card sketch. You will find the instructions, supply list and a video below.

Creating a Sunset Measurements
- Smokey Slate cardstock 8-1/2″ x 5-1/2″ scored at 4-1/4″ and scrap for small circle
- Night of Navy cardstock 4″ x 5-1/4″ and scap for small scalloped circle
- Whisper White 3-3/4″ x 5″ and scrap for lighthouse and Thanks banner
- Come Sail Away designer series paper DSP (Sailboats) 1-1/2″ x 5″
Creating a Sunset Details
- Cut large circle from sticky note paper
- Place open circle where you would like sunset on white cardstock
- Get Mango Melody ink on sponge dauber
- Start away from open circle and in a circular motion going around outside edge and moving in toward the center rub ink to create sun
- Peel sticky paper away
- Stamp lighthouse and “Thanks” on white scrap and cut out using die machine
- Tape DSP across bottom of sun
- Layer circles and attach to card
- pop lighthouse and banner up with Stampin Dimensionals
