Card Sketch 17 Using Up Your Paper Scraps

Do you have a lot of paper scraps and wish you knew how to use some of it up? Well today’s card sketch tutorial will show you just how to do that.

In this tutorial, I show you how I go from card sketch to card while I explain step by step my creative process in creating this card that uses up some of your scrap paper stash.

Paper Scraps Card Measurements

  • Granny Apple Green cardstock 8-1/2″ x 5-1/2″ scored at 4-1/4″
  • Tropical Escape Designer Series Paper (Petal Pink 4″ x 5-1/4″ and several 1/2″ and 3/4″ scrap strips
  • Whisper White cardstock 3-3/4″ x 5″

Paper Scraps Card Details

  • Use a pencil and mark a diagonal line in the center of the white cardstock
  • Stamp a long skinny sentiment above pencil line
  • Tape scrap strips above and below the sentiment and trim off the excess
  • Layer the scrap strips to the Petal Pink paper and then to the card base
