Triangle Fold Card Tutorial: Easy Fall-Inspired Design

In today’s Fun Fold Friday, I’m sharing how to make a triangle fold card — a fun, dimensional fold that’s perfect for fall projects but works just as well for any season or occasion once you swap the colors and images. I used autumn-themed stamps and paper for this version, but the fold itself is the star here, so feel free to use whatever stamps and paper you have on hand.

Note: Some products shown may be retired or no longer available — the triangle fold card technique below will work with any coordinating stamps and paper you already have in your stash!

Measurements for the Triangle Fold Card

• Card base 8-1/2″ x 11, scored at 4-1/4 on the short side and 5-1/2″ on the long side and then cut on the diagonal.

• 2 Coordinating Designer Paper 4 x 5-1/4″ cut on the diagonal
• Vanilla scraps
• Cajun Craze scrap
• Gold scrap

How to Make the Triangle Fold Card

1. Tape designer paper triangles onto the two triangle flaps of the card base.
2. Stamp shrubs onto your vanilla scrap, then cut out with the stitched circle die.
3. Stamp and color the fox on vanilla scrap, then cut out by hand.
4. Stamp the sentiment and punch it out with the classic label punch.
5. Cut scalloped circles from the Cajun Craze scrap and the gold scrap.
6. Layer the stitched circle onto the Cajun Craze scalloped circle.
7. Tape linen trim to the back of the Cajun Craze scalloped circle.
8. Glue the gold scalloped circle behind the Cajun Craze scalloped circle.
9. Attach the layered circle to the top triangle flap only — this is what gives your triangle fold card its dimension, so be careful not to attach it to the bottom flap, or the fold won’t open properly.
10. Stick the fox on with Stampin’ Dimensionals for extra dimension.
11. Glue the sentiment in place.
