Is 12×12 Designer Paper starting to take over your craft space? You’re in luck. In today’s Fun Fold Friday I am going to show you a great way to use it with these thank you cards that also show off both sides of the paper.
Scroll past the instructions for the Video Tutorial and Supplies I used on these cards
Measurements
- Card base 5-1/2″ x 4-1/4″
- DSP (Designer Series Paper) 12″ x 12″
- Cardstock 4″ x 1/2″
- White: cut two at 3-1/2″ x 4-3/4″ and one at 3-1/2″ x 3-1/4″
Instructions
- Cut DSP into three horizontal 4″ strips
- Score each strip at 1-1/2″ and 6-3/4″
Card 1
- With the 1-1/2″ section on the left side, fold the DSP on the score line that is between the two 4″ x 5-1/4″ sections so that the more decorative side is facing up when card is closed. Then fold the 1-1/2″ section back so it is on top of the closed card on the right side.
- Add the 1/2″ cardstock strip to the end of the 1-1/2″ section and glue to the card front.
- Add the right 5-1/4″ section to the card base so the fold is on the left side.
- Decorate as desired
Card 2
- Do the same as Card 1 but have the less decorative side of the DSP showing on top.
Card 3
- This time turn the DSP strip around so the 1-1/2″ section is on the right side.
- Punch a 1″ notch out of the 1-1/2″ section and fold in and glue to create a pocket for a gift card.
- Adhere the 5-1/4″ pocket section to the base.
- Fold the DSP so to close the card.
- Decorate as desired
Happy weekend and happy crafting!
