Get out your Christmas design paper and let’s make some lovely little Christmas tree cards
Classic Origami paper folding has always challenged me but this little tree is rather quite simple.
The measurements and instructions are listed below the video
Measurements
- Real Red Card base 8-1/2″ x 5-1/2″
- White cardstock 4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″
- DSP cut 3″ square, 2-1/2″ square, 2″ square and 1-1/2″ square
- Early Espresso 3/4″ x 1″
Instructions for Tree
- Each of the square DSP pieces are folded the same
- Starting with the 3″ square fold in half horizontal and vertical creating a + sign in the folds, then fold along the diagonals creating an X with the folds. You now have 8 sections
- Hold as a square not a diamond and bend the 2 sides in creating a triangle
- Fold each side of the top triangle to the center
- Do this for the other 3 squares
- Now Tuck largest triangle into smaller size triangle to form tree. Use glue to secure
Putting the card together
- Cut the 4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″ white cardstock with the largest scalloped contours die
- Stamp sentiment at the very bottom of the scalloped rectangle
- Adhere the scalloped rectangle to the card base with Dimensionals
- Adhere Espresso piece above sentiment for trunk of tree
- Attach tree with glue
- Add a bow or bling on the top of the tree

A lovely card, thank you. I enjoy tea bag folding and have tried your folding technique today. It was a bit tricky at first but I persevered and made something that resembles a Christmas tree. My advice is practice on spare paper first.
