Spread some love this Valentine’s Day with this adorable pop up flying hearts fun fold tutorial. Learn how to create this unique card that’s perfect for your loved ones. Hearts, love, and fun all in one fold!
Measurements
- Crumb Cake 4-1/4″ x 11″ and 7-3/4″ x 6″ and 4 tabs 7/8″ x 1-3/4″
- White Scraps for sentiments
- Real Red 6″ x 6″
- Flirty Flamingo 6″ x 6″
- Destressed Gold scraps for 6 circles
- Most Adored *DSP 4″ x 5-1/8″ cut 3
Instructions
- Cut all the paper according to the measurements above
- Score the 11″ x 4-1/4″ @ 5-3/8″ and 5-5/8″
- Adhere 2 *DSP in the top and bottom sections inside and one to the card front
- Score the 7-3/4″ x 6″ on the 7-3/4″ side @ 3″, 3-3/4″, 4-1/2″, and 7-1/2″ Then turn and cut into 1″ strips
- Fold the strips to make a tall skinny W and adhere the ends on the tiny 1/4″ fold
- Glue these 6 pieces over lapping evenly to each other making them just slightly smaller than the width of the card
- Glue the first section of the accordion you just created to the right side of the bottom DSP close to the fold and the last section to the top left side close to the fold
- Emboss and cut out Real Red and Flirty Flamingo hearts
- Attach these hearts to the Gold circles with Dimensionals
- Glue the 4 tabs to the 4 center accordion pieces and glue circles on those and one at the top and bottom accordion
- Cut out a large square from the Nested Essential Dies Stamp the sentiment and glue to bottom inside of the card and Glue a heart to the top of the sentiment
Instructions for Belly Band:
- *DSP strip 1-1/4″ x 10″ and cut a square from the Nested Essential dies
- Stamp sentiment on white and cut with small oblong hexagon from Nested Essential dies
- Wrap *DSP strip loosely around the card and secure with glue
- Glue the square *DSP to the center of the band
- Adhere the oblong hexagon with Dimensionals
- Add a heart
