Scrapbook night is always a fun and creative time, and I love sharing my projects with you all! A few weeks ago, we started working through the Wildflower Birthday Scrapbook Kit, and so far, I’ve completed Project 3—a layout for my granddaughter’s seventh birthday. Today, I’m jumping back to Project 2 and using it to document a baby shower I attended in 2011.

Choosing the Perfect Kit for My Baby Shower Layout
This layout came together beautifully with the soft pink tones and floral patterns in the Wildflower Birthday Scrapbook Kit. Since this event was for a baby girl, the colors and embellishments worked perfectly! I love how these kits take the guesswork out of designing pages while still allowing flexibility for personalization.
If you’ve been following along, you know that I like to pre-cut and organize my kit pieces into folders labeled by project. This helps keep everything neat and easy to assemble when I’m ready to scrapbook. I highly recommend this method if you’re working with pre-designed kits!
Making the Most of Your Scrapbook Layout
One of the best things about these kits is that you can easily adjust them to fit more photos. If you need additional space, you can use flip flaps—small clear pockets that allow you to layer extra photos while keeping the design intact. In this layout, I stuck with the suggested placements but added my own touches to make it unique.
Step-by-Step Layout Assembly
- Background & Paper Placement
- I followed the instructions to place the decorative striped and floral papers in the background, measuring them carefully using my grid mat for precise alignment.
- The pink cardstock I used has a two-toned effect, so I made sure to use the darker side for contrast.
- Photo Mats & Arranging Photos
- I used the provided white photo mats to frame my pictures, but I adjusted the size for a better fit.
- Instead of using two 3×3 mats, I substituted a 4×6 photo mat to highlight a special moment from the shower.
- Embellishments & Title Placement
- The looped ribbon sticker adds a soft, delicate touch, making it a great element for baby-themed layouts.
- The “Celebrate” title sticker is perfect.
- The balloons and floral elements from the kit make the layout feel festive and fun!
- Final Touches & Adjustments
- I made a small adjustment to one of the banner pieces, cutting it separately so it could extend across the layout properly.
- I added handwritten journaling to document the special details, including the date, location, and the thoughtful gifts given to the mom-to-be.

💡 Tip: If you want to customize your layouts, try swapping out elements or changing the arrangement slightly to better fit your photos.
