Easy Triangle Fun Fold Card | Step-by-Step Tutorial

If you love a card that looks impressive but is surprisingly easy to make, this Triangle Fun Fold Card is one you’ll want to try! The angled front panels create a fun, unexpected opening while giving you plenty of room to show off your favorite Designer Series Paper. With just a few simple cuts and folds, you can turn an ordinary card base into something extra special. Let me show you how easy it is to create this fun fold!

How to Make the Triangle Fun Fold Card

Measurements

• Soft Succulent Cardstock 8-1/2″ x 11″
• Balmy Blue Cardstock 1/2″ strip at least 7-1/2″ long
• Basic White Cardstock quarter sheet scrap for frame and 4″ x 5-1/4″ for the inside
• Gold Specialty Paper 6″ x 6″
• Fitting Florets Designer Series Paper DSP 4″ x 5-1/4″

Instructions

• Cut Cardstock and Designer Paper according to the measurements above
• Score Soft Succulent sheet at 4-1/4″ and 5-1/2″ then cut from upper RIGHT corner to the opposite creating 2 triangles.
• Cut DSP from upper LEFT corner to opposite corner creating 2 triangles
• Adhere the blue strip to the cut angle edge of DSP triangle having about 1/4″ showing
• Glue DSP to the bottom flap of the the card front
• Stamp sentiment in Soft Succulent on white cardstock and cut out with frame die (Save white frame for another project)
• Cut out a frame from the Gold Specialty Paper
• Adhere the gold frame to the upper triangle flap being careful not to get adhesive on the section that over laps to the bottom triangle
• Insert the White sentiment oval
• Cut out 2 white sprigs and Punch out 2 gold boughs
• Layer the sprigs and boughs on the frame
• Finish with a bow and Pearls
• Don’t forget the inside and envelope

This card was originally created with the Fitting Florets Collection. Some of these products may now be retired, but you can easily recreate this fun fold with your favorite Designer Series Paper and coordinating cardstock.
