Wink of Stella | Lesson I Learned While Making this Card

I love adding Wink of Stella to add a little bit of shimmer to my cards. As I was creating this card I found out that it matters what kind of ink you first stamp with.

In this video you will see how Stazon ink is a much better choice when it comes to Wink of Stella.

Wink of Stella Card Details

  • cut Gingham DSP 2″ x 5 1/2″
  • Adhere a 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ strip of corresponding color cardstock to the edge of Gingham Gala DSP
  • Tape Gingham Gala layer to a Whisper White card base that measures 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ scored at 4 1/4″
  • Stamp “Happy Birthday” on Whisper White and cut out with small layering oval
  • cut next size larger oval with colored cardstock and the next size larger in black
  • layer all three ovals and adhere to the center of the card base
  • Stamp butterfly detail on colored cardstock with Stazon black ink
  • paint the butterfly with Wink of Stella
  • punch out butterfly
  • use a Stampin’ Dimensional to adhere butterflies to card front as shown in picture
  • finish with colored sequins
