Bible Journaling Psalm 145:18:Remember God Is Near

Have you ever had one of those days when everything feels like too much? Maybe you’re worried, discouraged, or simply unsure what to do next. Psalm 145:18 gives us such a beautiful reminder:

“The Lord is near to all who call on him, to all who call on him in truth.” — Psalm 145:18

I love the simple promise in this verse: God is near. We don’t have to have all the answers or figure everything out on our own. We can call on Him and trust that He is right there with us.

As I reflected on this verse for my Bible journaling page, it reminded me of Peter walking on the water toward Jesus. As long as Peter kept his eyes on Jesus, he walked across the water—but when he became distracted by the wind and the waves around him, he began to sink.

How often do we do the same thing? We focus so much on the “wind and waves” in our own lives that we forget where to look. Psalm 145:18 reminds me to turn my attention back to God, call on Him, and remember that He is near.
