What Is a Faux Cascading Gatefold?

A faux cascading gatefold gives you that layered, angled “envelope reveal” look without the fuss of a true cascade card. When you open it, the panels fold back to reveal a pop of color and dimension — it’s a showstopper for a “thinking of you” card, but it works beautifully for birthdays, encouragement, or any occasion where you want the card itself to feel like part of the gift.

For this card, I paired soft violets, monarch butterflies, and a knotted green ribbon over a stamped “thinking of you today” sentiment — blush pink and moody floral patterns layered against a soft green base.
